We now have 2 fabulous IBC’s on site at the college waiting for some angle-grinder action next week! They are absolutely enormous and take 2 people to move them, even when they are empty. Many thanks go to Toucan Environmental for these!

The top of these tanks will form the media-based hydroponic setting for growing plants, and the bottom will provide a watery home for the Tilapia! You can find more info on the sort of set up we will build here, though our system is slightly different in that we have 1 fish tank coupled with 2 growing beds. We arn’t sure this is the best set up yet, but have to start somewhere and will be playing with more configurations throughout the year.
