Finally built the siphons, although still have no electronics in place. The CPU designed to give us 2 hours of extra energy if we have a power cut is also here – plugged in an awaiting disaster :). Finally we’ve ordered some black soldier fly larvea which we await with anticipation – we hope to get the grubs growing before our lovely fish are installed sometime in the near future…

Oh I experimented with different sized flying tents – I used a non-ddt impregnated mosquito netting to make a larger flying space – that helped? I did find it hard to get the blighters breeding though! one round just wouldn’t ‘get down to it’ – but the bigger space worked.
