This Week’s Introduction to Aquaponics Evening Class – Wednesday

IMG_5525What a session we have ahead of us!

This week Rob Bryant will be telling us about hydroponic systems and plant selection and we will be using our kindly sponsored fish plant unit we will be starting the system cycling and filling it with plants!

B&B_Large_FinalRob Bryant has been involved with Aquaponics since the start of 2013 when he set up Chippenham’s first indoor garden centre. He was looking at the different technology that produces food hydroponically (growing with out soil).

Rob joined Bristol Fish Project when we were early on in our trial –  volunteering his services & eventually took on part of our Aquaponic set up and our Tilapia when the trial was completed and housed it in the Chippenham showroom. A year on and Rob now has 50 or so Koi Carp in the setup as they were better suited to the shop environment.

Rob Jan 2013“I think Aquapoics will have great part to play in our future food supply as space & water becomes more in demand” – Rob Bryant
